How it started...

The first thing l ever sewed was a dolly dress out of scraps my mother had left over from the clothes she made us l was 5 mum had a treadle sewing machine my legs weren’t long enough so my sister pushed the treadle up and down with her hands we took it in turns doing that I excelled in sewing at school We would make a new outfit for our Saturday night dances ea week. When l married l took in sewing and at one time l made all the curtains that came out of Myers in Bathurst Then l started my own curtain shop l ended up with a team sewing for me we also made school uniforms and lingerie l sold that business in 2000 and started a fabric and quilting shop in Orange l closed it in 2016 to retire but quess what lm still sewing all my stock for markets and now a website it makes me tired to think of all that l would love to know how many reels of thread and how may metrs of fabric.
